Santo Domingo.– The National Association of Private Clinics (ANDECLIP) plans to meet this Monday afternoon with the members of its board of directors to decide whether to maintain the suspension of medical services announced for Tuesday, July 14, for affiliates of the ARS Primera and Futuro health insurance providers.
According to a source linked to the process, the meeting was called for 3:00 in the afternoon and comes after the General Directorate of Information and Defense of Social Security Affiliates (DIDA) warned that the provision of health services constitutes a legal obligation and should not be affected by economic differences between clinics and health risk administrators.
ANDECLIP, presided over by Dr. Rafael Mena, maintains that private clinics have received only between 25% and 30% of the requested adjustments, despite the fact that, as stated, operating costs have increased due to an accumulated inflation of over 100%. Furthermore, it asserts that more than 80% of the rates they receive remain unupdated.
