San José de Ocoa.– With a display of talent and cultural expressions, the Educational District 03-03celebrated the seventh edition of the 2026 Art Gala, centered on the theme “Art Journeys: Origin and Journey of Our Identity”, consolidating itself as one of the main stages for student artistic promotion in this province.
The activity, held at the Juan Pablo Duarte Arts Center, brought together educational authorities, institutional representatives, and community members in an event where students of the Arts Modality exhibited stage and visual proposals inspired by the roots and evolution of Dominican culture.

During the event, the district director, Sandra Encarnación, emphasized the relevance of strengthening arts education as a cross-cutting axis in academic training. In that same order, Sonia Mateo, in charge of the secondary level, and Cristóbal Herrera, district technician, highlighted the sustained growth of the modality in the district.
In representation of Regional 03 of Azua, technicians Scarlin Beltré and Neury Elizabeth Montero valued the impact of these initiatives on the development of creative skills in students.
The day also included the presence of the provincial director of the Ministry of Youth, Josué Batista, who emphasized the role of art in building a youth with identity and critical thinking.
Representatives from different government agencies also attended the event; among them, Ulises Alcántara, representing the Mayor’s Office; Doger Yovinex Arias, for the Governorate; Nancy Ramírez, representing the senator, and Julio Villar, provincial director of Culture.
The presentations included dance, theater, music, and visual arts, as well as displays of handicrafts and costume jewelry, demonstrating the level of artistic training achieved by the students.
The Art Gala is part of the educational system’s strategies to promote creativity, cultural identity, and student participation, within the framework of the 2025-2026 school year.
