Bani. –The municipality of Baní will host the 2026 edition of the Reggaeton Old School Festival: The City of Old School Reggaeton, an event that will bring together artists, DJs, and fans of classic reggaeton for a twelve-hour day, in a proposal focused on the music and urban culture that marked the beginnings of the genre.
This July 25th from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM, the festival features four themed spaces: The Disco, Beach Lounge, Pool Electroflow, and Mainstage, where musical shows will be presented simultaneously, accompanied by large-format audiovisual production.
The artistic lineup announced so far includes Shadow Blow, Rey Pirin, Falo, Polaco, Ranking Stone, Frankie Boy, and Niño Canadá, along with DJs such as Blass, Chiwa, Scuff, RJ, Melvin Flow, Joel Vásquez, Baron Cash, Pollo, and Claudio, among other guests who will be revealed later.

The organizers reported that, since the official announcement of this edition, the initiative has recorded more than four million impressions on digital platforms and advance sales exceeding thousands in sales. They also noted that the hotel capacity available in the area for the date of the event is already fully booked, reflecting the interest the activity has sparked among attendees from different provinces of the country and abroad.

The project had a first pilot edition on March 21st, when it brought together nearly 3,000 people. That experience served as a starting point to expand the format and develop a larger-scale production.
In addition to the artistic component, the festival seeks to contribute to the economic dynamism of Baní and the Peravia province through the arrival of visitors, with an impact on sectors such as hospitality, gastronomy, transportation, commerce, and services.
The initiative is produced by businessman Albert Peguero, creator of the Reggaeton Old School Festival concept: The City of Old Reggaeton, who proposes this project as a platform to preserve and celebrate the musical legacy of reggaeton from the 1990s and early 2000s, with a view to extending the format to other cities in the Dominican Republic and, subsequently, to international markets.
