Brianna Genao case: nine days after her disappearance, Public Ministry will request coercion against two uncles for her death
Puerto Plata. – Nine days after the disappearance of the girl Brianna Genao Rosario, just three years old, the Public Ministry plans to request coercive measures against two maternal uncles of the minor on January 12, whom it directly links to her death, in a case that has shaken the community of Barrero and the country.
The request would be presented before the permanent attention court of the judicial district of Puerto Plata against Rafael Rosario Núñez, alias “Papito”, 52 years old, and Reyes Rosario Núñez, 43, who remain detained, while the investigations advance.
According to the authorities, the accusation will be based on evidence gathered during the investigative process, which they claim criminally implicates the accused.
For several days, the case has been marked by the lack of public results, but after the information in which the authorities point to the minor’s relatives, the situation generated confusion, pain and indignation among family members and residents of Barrero.
However, the Public Ministry assures that the investigations have never stopped and that the fieldwork allowed to gather the necessary elements to support the judicial action, which includes DNA evidence to strengthen the file.
National Police teams, specialized 911 units, and prosecutors have continuously participated in the process, keeping the key details of the case under wraps so as not to hinder the investigation or violate due process.
The disappearance of Brianna and the formal accusation of two close relatives have caused deep social shock, while the community demands justice and definitive answers. Barrero remains in suspense, awaiting the courts to determine responsibilities and justice to be served for the death of the minor.
