During the event, Pavel Isa Contreras highlighted the importance of generating evidence-based knowledge to support decision-making and foster more inclusive and effective public policies. He pointed out that having rigorous information and quality analysis allows for a better understanding of the social, economic, and institutional dynamics that affect people’s well-being, identifying persistent gaps and guiding interventions with greater impact.

Meanwhile, Ana María Díaz highlighted that “this study represents an opportunity to reflect, based on evidence and the participation of multiple sectors, on the progress the country has experienced and the challenges that still persist to ensure that development reaches everyone. Understanding how the population’s opportunities, inequalities, and capabilities have evolved over the last 25 years is fundamental to building more inclusive, sustainable, and people-centered solutions.”
