Santiago, Chile.– Chilean authorities reported this Tuesday that the 64 Haitian minors whose whereabouts were unknown after entering the country last year have been located, a situation that had caused concern among state institutions and prompted an investigation.
n” “nThe Director General of the Investigative Police (PDI), Eduardo Cerna, explained that 63 of the minors are currently in Chilean territory, while one teenager was located in Mexico.
n” “nAccording to the authorities, all the children and adolescents were found in good physical condition, which allowed the search phase to be concluded.
n” “nHowever, the Chilean government indicated that it will continue with a follow-up process to ensure the well-being of the minors and verify the conditions in which they live with their families or guardians.
