Santo Domingo.– The Club Calero delegation reported that they were left stranded this Tuesday at the Las Américas International Airport (AILA), after the airline JetBlue canceled the flight on which they were to travel to participate in previously scheduled sports commitments.

According to the team, the players arrived at the air terminal with all the required documentation, including their travel permits, tickets, and hotel reservations, which had already been paid for.

Club representatives stated that the airline informed them that the flight would be rescheduled for the month of August, an alternative that, they claim, is unfeasible because the competitions are part of an official calendar that cannot be modified.

The sports organization warned that the cancellation puts its participation in the events for which it had been preparing for months at risk and could lead to significant economic and sporting losses.
