Colombian woman arrested at AILA with 49 garments impregnated with alleged cocaine
Santo Domingo.– Agents of the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), in coordination with members of the Public Ministry and security agencies stationed at the Las Américas International Airport (AILA), arrested a Colombian citizen who was transporting 49 items of clothing impregnated with a substance presumably cocaine.
The detainee, 26 years old, was intercepted during inspection work carried out at the airport terminal, where the authorities detected irregularities in several items of clothing she was carrying in her luggage. After a more thorough review, it was determined that the garments were impregnated with a substance that is presumed to be cocaine.
