Despite being the only figure from the PRD in the lower house, his constant participation in legislative debates, his firm stance in the chamber, and his frequent presence in the media —denouncing social problems and defending citizen causes— have contributed to keeping the flag of his organization visible on the national political stage.
Among the priorities of its congressional agenda are initiatives aimed at strengthening culture, boosting the local economy, improving the mechanisms for supervising and inspecting buildings, and promoting entrepreneurship throughout the country. Likewise, he has promoted policies to encourage environmental protection, especially among young people, and to combat domestic and gender-based violence, issues that have earned him attention and recognition from public opinion and the media. In the 2024 elections, the PRD lost its status as the majority party, remaining with only one representation in the National Congress. Since then, the figure of Ramón Raposo has gained relevance as a symbol of the political resilience of that organization.
