Puerto Plata.– A man who has remained a fugitive from justice for more than a year for an alleged homicide has again been identified as the supposed perpetrator of another murder that occurred recently in the Puerto Plata province.

This is Jeuri Ortiz del Rosario, alias “Maco Toro”, who is wanted by the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) for his alleged participation in two homicides committed in the years 2025 and 2026.

According to reports, the first incident occurred on July 9, 2025 on 22nd Street in the Ginebra Arzeno sector, where he allegedly shot and killed Jael Mejía, known as “Nino”.

While the second case was recorded on July 20, 2026 in the Los Sufridos sector, also in Puerto Plata. In this incident, the victim was identified as Amaury Román Núñez, who also died from gunshot wounds.

Investigations indicate that in the first homicide, Ortiz del Rosario allegedly acted together with a man of Haitian nationality identified as Jackson Dhaiti, alias “Jaki Bemba”. Meanwhile, in the most recent crime, he allegedly had the participation of another individual known only by the nicknames “Joel” and/or “Puñala”.

For both cases, DICRIM maintains an active search for “Maco Toro”, identified as the main suspect in both homicides.

Relatives of the victims requested that the authorities expedite his capture, considering that he represents a danger to society and with the goal of preventing further acts of violence from occurring.
