La Vega, R.D. – The Regional Investigation Sub-Directorate of the National Police, based in La Vega, reported that it is actively pursuing the location and capture of Jerson José de la Cruz del Villar, also known as Jeison Javier Cruz, who is listed as a fugitive from justice and is considered highly dangerous.
The aforementioned individual is subject to arrest warrant No. 2025-AJ0083031, issued by the competent judicial authorities. The individual is accused of having inflicted blunt force trauma on a 16-year-old minor, an incident that occurred on December 7, 2025, in the Sabana Rey Abajo sector of this city of La Vega, which allegedly caused the death of the adolescent.
According to the preliminary report, the case constitutes a violation of article 309 of the Dominican Penal Code, as well as articles 1, 12, 18 and 396 of Law 16-03 on the protection of children and adolescents.
Authorities warned that the fugitive is heavily armed, so they urged citizens not to try to stop him and, instead, to provide any information that facilitates his capture through the phone 829-276-0935, guaranteeing absolute confidentiality.
The National Police reiterated its commitment to citizen security and the protection of children, and assured that it will continue to work firmly to ensure that this act does not go unpunished.
