Santo Domingo.– The deputy for the Pedernales province, Rafael “Rafelín” Pérez, stated that he decided to join the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) because he considers that this organization represents a guarantee of democracy and promotes generational change in the country’s political leadership.
Pérez, who previously served in the People’s Force (Fuerza del Pueblo), highlighted President Luis Abinader’s commitment to the economic and social development of Pedernales, noting that the investments promoted by the Government will contribute to the growth of that province and the entire Southern region.
The legislator thanked the support received from the ruling party caucus, led by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco; the bloc’s spokesperson, Amado Díaz, and the other members of the PRM representation in the lower house.
“I joined the PRM because it is a party that believes in democracy and is committed to generational political renewal in the Dominican Republic. Furthermore, President Luis Abinader has a clear vision for the development of Pedernales, which will boost the growth of the entire Southern region,” he expressed.
The congressman indicated that this new stage of his political career will be focused on continuing to promote legislative initiatives aimed at institutional strengthening and national development, with special attention to the needs of Pedernales and the communities in the south of the country.
Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to President Abinader; to the president of the PRM, José Ignacio Paliza; to Alfredo Pacheco and to the ruling party bench for the welcome provided after his incorporation into the political organization.

“I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received from the PRM deputies’ bloc, President Luis Abinader, the party president, José Ignacio Paliza, and the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco,” he stated.
Finally, Pérez reiterated his commitment to legislative work and the search for agreements that contribute to the well-being of the Dominican Republic.
“We remain united in passing laws and resolutions that positively impact the entire Dominican Republic,” he maintained.
