The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for this Friday, August 21, as follows:
In the Financial Entities sector, the US dollar traded as follows at the close of the day, at RD$57.17 per dollar for purchase and RD$59.71 pesos per dollar for sale.
Compared to the rates from a month ago (Buy: RD$57.28; Sell: RD$60.04), the local currency appreciated by 0.18% in the buy rate and 0.56% in the sell rate.
For their part, Remittance and Exchange Agents showed quotes that, as usual, offer a narrower margin or spread for the public: Purchase Rate: RD$58.23 pesos per dollar and Sale Rate: RD$59.31 pesos per dollar.
When comparing with the quotes from a month ago (Buy: RD$58.17; Sell: RD$59.28), the peso experienced a monthly depreciation of -0.11% in the buy rate and -0.06% in the sell rate.
