The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for this Friday, August 7, as follows:
In financial institutions, the dollar purchase rate stood at RD$ 56.87, while the selling rate reached RD$ 59.57.
When comparing the purchase rate with that of the previous day, an appreciation of the Dominican peso of 0.12% is observed.
For their part, Remittance and Exchange Agents reported a purchase rate of RD$ 57.96 and a sale rate of RD$ 58.90.
In this sector, the purchase rate showed a minimal variation of 0.02% compared to the previous day.
Regarding the close of 2025, when the purchase price was quoted at RD$ 62.87, exchange agents show an accumulated variation of 8.48%. Compared to a year ago, the variation stands at 4.92%.
