Dominican families fill the February 27th parade with joy and patriotism

Santo Domingo. – In an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm, pride, and family unity, thousands of Dominicans gathered this February 27th on George Washington Avenue to enjoy the military parade on the occasion of the 182nd anniversary of the Independence National. From early hours, entire families went to the capital’s Malecón. Fathers, mothers, and children were observed with trumpets in hand, flags, hats, and accessories with the national colors, creating an image full of national identity. The little ones, excited, greeted the passing of the military while the adults captured the moment in photographs and videos. Happiness was evident on every face. “This is the best parade ever,” expressed one of the citizens consulted. Some attendees indicated that they were participating for the first time and were impressed by the magnitude of the event, while others stated that they attend every year as part of a family tradition.

During the activity, different members of the Armed Forces and military corps paraded, receiving constant applause from the public for their discipline and coordination. The event was attended by the President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, accompanied by the First Lady and other state authorities. The day unfolded in an orderly manner and with a strong patriotic spirit, where the Dominican family was the main protagonist of the celebration.
