Santiago de los Caballeros. – The organizers of Expo Acero 2026 announced the official opening of registration for its fourth edition, which will be held from September 18 to 20 at the Multipurpose Hall of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Santiago.
Although admission to the fair is free of charge, registration will be essential to enter the fairgrounds; this applies to attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, media, and support staff. This process is part of a system to streamline access and provide a better experience for all participants.
Two months before its celebration, Expo Acero 2026 has reached 85% occupancy of its commercial spaces. National and international companies have already confirmed their participation to present the latest innovations, technologies, and services in the sector. Among them is Metaldom, a Platinum sponsor, while Instrument, FICEP, Ekicontrol, and Kinnox have joined as Gold sponsors. Likewise, the fair receives the support of Steeltec, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), ProIndustria, the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), and the Santiago City Hall. Among this year’s novelties is a greater presence of specialized machinery on display, as well as spaces designed to strengthen interaction between companies and visitors, including an Exclusive Sponsor Zone, conceived to promote networking and business opportunities.
The previous edition was inaugurated by the Vice President of the Republic, Raquel Peña, who led the ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside authorities and representatives of the sector. For this year, the organizers hope to have the presence of President Luis Abinader, who has held private meetings with the organizers and manufacturers of steel structures, expressing his interest in strengthening an industry that contributes significantly to economic development, investment, and job creation in the country.
As part of its commitment to professional training and development, Expo Acero will host an extensive academic program aimed at engineers, architects, builders, developers, senior students, and other professionals linked to the sector. To this end, the organization has established partnerships with national universities, with the purpose of facilitating student participation and promoting the exchange of knowledge between academia and the industry.
The fair will open its doors to the public on Friday, September 18th at 12:00 noon. That same day, at 2:00 in the afternoon, the “Steel Footprints” panel will be held, organized in conjunction with the Association of Industrialists of the Northern Region (AIREN). This meeting will bring together prominent entrepreneurs and industry leaders to share their experiences and reflect on the evolution and impact of the sector, officially kicking off the agenda of conferences, workshops, and talks that will take place during the three days of the event.
Those interested in attending must complete their registration at @expoacerord.
As part of the process, 48 hours before the event you will receive an access QR code in your email, which you must present at the entrance.
