Felipe VI, Abinader and other leaders will attend the inauguration of Abelardo de la Espriella in Colombia

King Felipe VI of Spain and the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, are among the high-level international authorities who will participate this Friday in the inauguration ceremony of the president-elect of Colombia, Abelardo de la Espriella, which will be held in the city of Cali.

The information was confirmed by the mayor of Cali, Alejandro Eder, who indicated that so far ten high-level delegations have confirmed their presence at the official event.

In addition to Felipe VI and Abinader, the presidents of Argentina, Javier Milei; Ecuador, Daniel Noboa; Paraguay, Santiago Peña; Panama, José Raúl Mulino; Chile, José Antonio Kast; Honduras, Nasry Asfura, as well as the president of Costa Rica, Laura Fernández, will attend.

Eder highlighted that the presence of these leaders reflects the regional relevance of the inauguration ceremony and the interest of several countries in accompanying the start of the new Colombian government.

Abelardo de la Espriella’s inauguration will take place this Friday in Cali, the city that will host the protocol acts and the reception of international delegations.
