Santiago.- A voracious fire reduced to ashes this Monday afternoon the first level of the
Auto Parts store, Fausto Núñez located on Hatuey Avenue, in the Los Ciruelitos sector of Santiago, causing millionaire losses and generating moments of tension among residents and merchants in the area.
The incident occurred around 5:00 in the afternoon and mobilized several units of the Santiago Fire Department, whose members managed to control the flames before they spread to nearby buildings.
n” “nDespite the magnitude of the fire, authorities confirmed that no injuries or fatalities were reported, with damages limited to material losses.
n” “nThe business owner reported that the economic damages exceed 10 million pesos, due to the destruction of merchandise, equipment, and other belongings that were inside the premises.

Witnesses narrated that they acted quickly upon noticing an explosion and the start of the fire. Marcos Núñez explained that, after hearing the loud noise, they ran toward the establishment to try to help and facilitate access to the affected premises.
For his part, José Alberto Mata recounted that, together with other people, he managed to open the business door and remove a vehicle that was near the affected area, preventing the situation from potentially worsening.
