Santo Domingo.– The First Collegiate Court of the National District ordered the forfeiture of 422 movable and immovable assets linked to those convicted in the Coral and Coral 5G administrative corruption cases, one of the most extensive asset-related decisions derived from these judicial proceedings.
The provision is contained in numeral 32 of the ruling issued by judges Esmirna Gisselle Méndez Álvarez, Tania Yunes Sánchez, and Jissel Naranjo Tejada, who ordered that the assets be transferred to the Dominican State.
Among the seized assets are 114 vehicles, 159 properties, 16 firearms, 11 luxury watches, as well as millions in cash.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of RD$39,292,327.45 and US$251,472.18, funds which, along with the rest of the seized assets, will be transferred to the state treasury.
Among movable assets, personal use vehicles and heavy equipment used for commercial and construction activities stand out. The list includes trucks, buses, machinery, and high-end vehicles.

Among them are a Mitsubishi Fuso Canter truck, an Isuzu dump truck, a Nissan truck, a Toyota pickup truck, a Caterpillar mechanical shovel, a Freightliner M2 106 tanker truck, a compactor roller, and a Bluebird bus.

Likewise, several luxury vehicles were seized, including a white 2020 Tesla Model Y; a Tesla Model 3; a Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 53 4Matic; a Ford F-150 XLT 4WD; a Mercedes-Benz E-300 Sedan; a BMW X5 XDrive; as well as several Toyota Prado, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado VX-L, and Toyota 4Runner Limited 4WD units.

The real estate inventory amounts to 159 properties distributed across different regions of the country, including La Vega, Santiago, Samaná, Santo Domingo, the National District, Monte Plata, and Duarte.
Among the confiscated assets is the Plaza Randa Internacional, located at kilometer 14 of the Duarte Highway, in the Los Alcarrizos municipality, with an area of 1,960.83 square meters.
A plot of land of 10,690.56 square meters in the municipal district of Las Taranas, Villa Riva municipality, Duarte province, was also seized. Duarte.
The decision includes several apartments and residences located in exclusive sectors of Greater Santo Domingo, including units in Ciudad Real II, Colinas del Oeste, El Millón, and an apartment in the Las Velas condominium, in Guayacanes, San Pedro de Macorís.
Likewise, there is a two-level residence located in Colinas del Oeste, as well as a common recreation area within that same residential complex.
Watches and weapons
The ruling also ordered the confiscation of 16 firearms, including pistols, shotguns, and rifles.
Regarding luxury items, the court ordered the confiscation of 11 watches, including pieces from the brands Rolex, Giorgio Milano, Mont Blanc, Bulova, and Fubu.
Among them are described gold and silver watches, some with black or brown straps, considered part of the assets obtained by the convicted and subject to recovery by the State.
The seizure of these assets represents one of the most significant asset recoveries ordered by the Dominican justice system in proceedings related to administrative corruption.
The Coral and Coral 5G cases investigated an alleged network that operated through the diversion of public resources and the concealment of assets through property acquired by the defendants and persons linked to them.
With this decision, the Dominican State will take over the administration of hundreds of assets valued at millions of pesos, as part of the judicial consequences derived from one of the most emblematic corruption cases of recent years.
