Forensics confirm the death of a person at Disney World Orlando; five deaths in two months

Miami.- U.S. forensic authorities reported this Thursday the death of a person in a Disney resort in Orlando, in the state of Florida, which is the fifth death in the last five weeks on a Disney World property. The death occurred on November 8th at the Saratoga Springs resort at Disney, a Disney Vacation Club resort known for its spas. However, forensic authorities did not provide further details about the victim or the cause of death. This is the fifth death recorded on properties linked to Disney World in the last few weeks, after a 31-year-old woman was found dead on October 14th at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, near Magic Kingdom park, after jumping from a 12th floor, in what the Medical Examiner’s Office, in what appeared to be a suicide. It was also reported that on October 23rd, Matthew Cohn, 28, was found by a passerby on a trail at the same hotel, “suspected of having jumped from his room”.

In another incident, which occurred on October 21, Keith Patterson, 60, suffered a medical episode at the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground at the theme park, and died at a local hospital. The last death until today had occurred at the Disney’s Pop Century resort on November 2nd, when a woman had a medical emergency and died while being transported to the hospital. U.S. authorities remind that in the face of crises or suicidal thoughts, immediate support can be sought by calling 988.
