Former municipal director of Las Clavellinas resigns from the PLD

Azua. – Gabriel Antonio Ramírez, known as Jochi, former director of the Municipal Board of Las Clavellinas, formally submitted his resignation from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD). The resignation, contained in a letter dated October 1 and addressed to former President Danilo Medina Sánchez, comes after what Ramírez defined as a process of “deep analysis, reflection and consultations with friends and associates.”

Ramírez, who remained 12 years at the head of the Municipal Board of Las Clavellinas and was a staunch defender of the actions of the PLD, explained that he is no longer in a position to continue militating in the purple organization. However, he clarified that although he is leaving party militancy, he will maintain the friendships he cultivated during his political career.
