Santo Domingo.- The Provincial Development Directorate has initiated construction work on two new police stations in the municipality of La Victoria and the Haras Nacionales sector, in Santo Domingo Norte, as part of the commitment to strengthen citizen security and bring police services closer to the population.
The works, which will be executed by the Provincial Development Directorate, consist of two single-level buildings with spaces for public service, complaint reception, administrative areas, dormitories for agents, holding cells for men and women, a weapons depot, an investigations department (Dicrim), and complementary areas.
During the activities, the director of the institution, Ángel de la Cruz, highlighted the work that has been carried out in the district. “In this municipality, we have delivered everything from police stations in the localities of Sabana Perdida, Barrio Nuevo, Lotes y Servicios, San Felipe, Guaricano, and Los Castillos; to a community center in El Licey, a baseball stadium in Guanuma, and the CROM Sports Center, located in the heart of Villa Mella,” emphasized De la Cruz.

It is estimated that more than 40,000 inhabitants of the La Victoria municipality, Haras Nacionales, and surrounding communities will benefit from a closer and more efficient police service, which will contribute to reducing emergency response times, strengthening crime prevention, and providing more timely attention to citizens.

These executions are part of the efforts promoted by President Luis Abinader for the transformation and dignification of the National Police, through the strengthening of infrastructure, the modernization of facilities, and the improvement of working conditions for officers, with the purpose of offering a more efficient, accessible, and reliable service for all citizens.
