Santo Domingo.– Higüey municipality councilwoman, Noemí Delgado Ruiz, formalized her entry into the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) this Wednesday, after submitting her resignation to the political organization País Posible.
The swearing-in ceremony was led by the former President of the Republic and president of the PLD, Danilo Medina, in his political office, accompanied by leaders of the organization, including Carlos Pared Pérez, member of the Political Committee, as well as Juancito Pérez and Mauricio Espinosa, members of the Central Committee.
With this incorporation, the PLD continues to add figures from other political organizations, amid a strategy to strengthen its structures nationwide. The arrival of Delgado Ruiz occurs in a context of constant movements within the Dominican political scene, marked by changes in militancy and new alliances.
Over the past few months, the purple organization has held integration events in different provinces of the country, where community leaders, professionals, and elected representatives have formalized their entry into its ranks.

Among the recent incorporations are Anyelo Duhamé Olea, a former candidate linked to the Fuerza del Pueblo in Samaná; Gregorio Morillo, a political leader who returned to the PLD after several years outside the organization; and Richeli Bello, a former youth leader of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) in San Cristóbal.
Also, this week a group of doctors and health sector professionals also joined, who participated in a meeting with Medina to analyze the challenges facing the national health system.
Delgado Ruiz’s entry represents a new political movement in the province of La Altagracia and reinforces the presence of the PLD in one of the municipalities with the greatest electoral growth in the country.
