The Azua II Agricultural Development Project – Pueblo Viejo is part of a comprehensive Government strategy to strengthen agriculture in the Southwest region, promoting the efficient use of water and fostering food security through the modernization of hydraulic infrastructure.“This is a project that directly impacts agricultural production. Farmers will be able to receive water on their properties by gravity, significantly reducing production costs by not depending on water pumps or electric pumps. In addition, 80,000 new agricultural tasks will be incorporated that are currently not in production due to lack of irrigation,” explained Caba Romano during the inspection, accompanied by operators from the contracting company and technicians from INDRHI.
