Santo Domingo. – The National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (INTRANT) achieved for the first time, since its creation, the triple international certification ISO 9001:2015, ISO 37001:2016, and ISO 37301:2021, an important milestone that strengthens its management model and reaffirms the commitment of the institution, led by its executive director, Milton Morrison, to excellence, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Granted by the Dominican Institute for Quality (INDOCAL), these certifications validate that INTRANT operates under international standards regarding quality management, anti-bribery, and regulatory compliance, strengthening its capacity to offer more efficient, reliable, and citizen-oriented services.

The executive director of INTRANT, Milton Morrison, highlighted that this achievement reflects the work carried out to strengthen institutional capacity and consolidate a modern, efficient, and results-oriented public administration.

“Achieving this triple international certification for the first time demonstrates that teamwork, planning, and continuous improvement generate concrete results. This recognition drives us to continue raising our standards to offer increasingly efficient, transparent, and reliable public services,” stated Morrison.

ISO 9001:2015, corresponding to the Quality Management System, certifies that INTRANT has standardized processes aimed at continuous improvement and the provision of more efficient services; ISO 37001:2025, regarding the Anti-Bribery Management System, recognizes the implementation of controls to prevent, detect, and respond to potential acts of bribery, promoting a culture of ethics, integrity, and transparency; while ISO 37301:2021, corresponding to the Compliance Management System, accredits the application of mechanisms that guarantee compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, and other institutional obligations.

This important achievement marks a milestone in the history of INTRANT, as it becomes the first occasion since the institution’s creation that it has obtained international ISO certifications, the result of a comprehensive process that involved the review and optimization of processes, the implementation of internal controls, the documentation and updating of procedures, continuous staff training, and the active participation of all areas of the institution.

Morrison stated that maintaining these standards represents an ongoing commitment to institutional excellence.

“These certifications do not represent an end point, but rather the beginning of a new stage of continuous improvement. We will continue to strengthen our processes, promoting a culture of integrity and offering services with greater quality and efficiency to meet the expectations of the citizenry,” he added.

With this milestone, INTRANT consolidates a management approach aligned with international best practices and reaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening the quality of services, transparency, institutional integrity, and regulatory compliance, for the benefit of all Dominicans.
