Jerusalem.- An Israeli Border Police officer was recorded insulting a Palestinian driver and throwing a stun grenade into his vehicle, only to block the door moments later so that it would detonate with the passengers inside, the NGO B’Tselem revealed this Monday, releasing security camera footage of the incident.
The deliberate attack occurred yesterday, Sunday, during an Israeli military raid in the Qalandia refugee camp, south of Ramallah.

In the video, the police officer -seen from behind- appears to be speaking with the driver of a white vehicle with a green Palestinian license plate, only to shortly after throw a grenade into the front seat and press against the door window with his left arm, while the driver attempts to escape.
The grenade then explodes inside the vehicle -causing a cloud of smoke- and two other passengers exit the vehicle from the other side, screaming and frightened.

In this same raid, soldiers killed a 16-year-old Palestinian teenager, Walid Abu Sneineh, yesterday in Ramallah, and wounded three others, as confirmed by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
His death comes less than a week after Israel killed 15-year-old Amir Ahmad Jaber on June 29, who was “shot in the head and chest” by soldiers during another military raid in the Umm al-Sharayet neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh, according to a statement from the Health Ministry.
Since October 2023, Israel has killed 243 Palestinian children and adolescents in the occupied West Bank, including five at the hands of settlers.

In 2026 alone, Israel has killed at least 16 minors, while in 2025, 54 minors were killed. Of the latter, Israel is withholding at least 18 of these children’s lifeless bodies, preventing their families from burying them.
Also yesterday, the Israeli army delayed the evacuation of a four-month-old Palestinian baby by ambulance in Deir Ammar, west of Ramallah, causing him to arrive late at the hospital and die of cardiac arrest.
