Ruiz explained that the concept of public television implies that RTVD should stop being at the exclusive service of the government in power and instead become a media outlet at the service of the entire society.

“A channel, a media company that stops being at the service only of the government of the day, that stops being simply pro-government and becomes the public television for everyone,” he stated.

Likewise, he acknowledged the support of President Luis Abinader to promote this initiative and thanked the institutions and individuals who have contributed to the transformation process of the television station.

Ruiz stated that it is now time to consolidate the progress achieved and maintain the commitment to the transformation of RTVD.
