Santo Domingo.- Filmmaker and producer Alfonso Rodríguez expressed his sorrow this Friday over the passing of his ex-wife, Dominican actress Elizabeth Ruiz, while highlighting the courage with which she faced cancer.
Rodríguez assured that the process was carried out in private for almost three years, a decision that he respected and kept private with his family.
“We have been dealing with Elizabeth‘s illness for almost 3 years. She asked for discretion, that the media not be told that she had been diagnosed with cancer, she wanted to keep it private, within the family,” expressed filmmaker Alfonso Rodríguez.
The remains of the producer were displayed this Friday at the Blandino funeral home, where family members, close friends, and entertainment figures have gathered to bid her a final farewell.
