Judge sets June 15th decision on sending to trial on the merits in Jet Set

Santo Domingo.- Judge Raymundo Mejía, of the First Instruction Court of the National District, set for June 15 at 10:00 am the date on which he will announce his decision on whether the so-called Jet Set case will be sent to trial.

The decision was made after the court heard from all parties involved in the preliminary hearing, in which the defense and the Public Ministry presented their arguments regarding the process. The magistrate indicated that on the established date, he will issue his ruling on whether or not to open the trial, a stage that will define the continuity of the judicial process against the accused.

It is recalled that the Jet Set case has generated great public attention due to the circumstances of the event and the different versions presented during the process. The judicial authorities will continue to review the file until the date scheduled for the final decision in this phase.
