Santo Domingo. – The file corresponding to the trial on the merits of the case involving the Espaillat brothers was filed this Friday at the Secretariat of the Fourth Criminal Chamber of the National District, the court currently hearing the judicial process.
According to the information released, the filing of the dossier took place this Friday afternoon as part of the normal course of the process.
Likewise, it transpired that the Espaillat brothers filed, approximately 24 hours ago, an appeal through which they request the court to lift the attachment of a bank account that holds more than RD$200 million.

The court must evaluate the request in accordance with the established procedures before issuing a decision on the lifting or maintenance of the precautionary measure.
So far, judicial authorities have not offered official statements regarding the filed appeal, nor have they informed the date on which the request will be heard.
