Constanza. — Low temperatures continue to be felt in the municipality of Constanza, especially in the Valle Nuevo National Park, where a marked thermal drop was recorded during the early hours of this Sunday.

According to the reports obtained in the area known as Las Pirámides, the minimum temperature reached 0 degrees Celsius, generating small formations of frost and hoarfrost on the vegetation, particularly on the leaves of wild blackberries.

This phenomenon is characteristic of the winter season in this mountainous area of the country, considered one of the coldest in the Dominican Republic. Authorities and environmental organizations recommend that visitors and residents take the necessary precautions against low temperatures, especially during the early morning hours and at night.

Valle Nuevo National Park, in addition to its ecological importance, attracts numerous visitors interested in observing these uncommon climatic events in the Caribbean, so it is urged to respect the conservation and safety regulations during visits.
