Sánchez, Samaná. Given the shortage of drinking water affecting the municipality of Sánchez and several of its communities, Mayor Inocencio de Jesús (Chaván) and the National Institute of Potable Water and Sewerage (INAPA) continue to carry out joint actions with the purpose of restoring service in the shortest time possible and minimizing the impact that this situation has generated on the population.
The authorities acknowledged that the lack of water represents one of the main concerns for residents, due to the difficulties it causes in homes, educational centers, businesses, and other daily activities.
In that sense, they assured that the issue has been taken on as a priority and that they continue to carry out the necessary technical and operational efforts to offer a sustainable solution.
Mayor Inocencio de Jesús (Chaván) stated that the City Council remains in constant communication with INAPA to provide the required support in everything within the municipal government’s reach, reiterating that the goal is to work in a coordinated manner until the service is normalized.
For its part, INAPA reported that its personnel continues working on identifying and correcting the causes that have affected the water supply, with the commitment to accelerate the work and restore service gradually, guaranteeing a solution that benefits the entire population.

Both institutions agreed that they understand the concern and unease of the citizens, as it is an essential service for daily life. However, they called for calm, dialogue, and understanding, highlighting that solutions require time, coordination, and the joint effort of all parties involved.
