More than 40 thousand runners are running through the main streets of Bogotá this Sunday in the 2026 Half Marathon

Bogotá, Colombia. This Sunday, July 26, the Bogotá Half Marathon (mmB) 2026 is taking place, one of the most important athletic competitions in Latin America, which brings together more than 40,000 runners from over 60 countries, including elite athletes and amateurs.

The sporting event has its starting point at the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park, from where participants travel through the main arteries of the Colombian capital in the 10 and 21-kilometer categories, with the support of the Mayor’s Office of Bogotá and the District Institute of Recreation and Sport (IDRD).

In the 21-kilometer race, which is scheduled to start at 8:30 in the morning, runners depart along 63rd Street heading north, cross the El Campín sector, and continue along 24th and 19th Avenues until connecting with 92nd Street and 15th Avenue. The route continues toward 127th Street and then links up with Seventh Avenue, reaching 150th Street, the northernmost point of the course.

From there, the participants begin their return south along Carrera Séptima and Carrera 15, pass through the El Virrey sector, join the NQS avenue, and continue through the Avenida Chile area, Carrera 36A, and Calle 53, before entering Simón Bolívar Park again, where they cross the finish line after completing the 21 kilometers.

For its part, the 10-kilometer race starts at 10:00 in the morning, also from the surroundings of Simón Bolívar Park. The route advances along Carrera 60 towards Calle 44 and Carrera 52, continues along Calle 63, passes by the vicinity of El Campín stadium and the National University, and completes a circuit through Carreras 24 and 27.

Subsequently, the athletes return along 53rd Street to reconnect with 63rd Street and head back towards 60th Avenue. The competition concludes inside the Simón Bolívar Metropolitan Park, where the finish line for the 10-kilometer race is located.
