Santo Domingo.– The National Police announced that it will deploy more than 500 officers to reinforce security during the celebration of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.
The operation is part of the comprehensive plan designed to ensure the protection of athletes, international delegations, tourists, and citizens who will attend the sporting event. In addition, it includes an extensive management and traffic flow plan for the main roads used during the competition.
The institution’s Director of Strategic Communications, Colonel Diego Pesqueira, explained that these actions are in response to instructions from President Luis Abinader and are being carried out in coordination with the Armed Forces, as part of the security plan established for the development of the sporting event.

The authorities indicated that the deployment seeks to preserve public order and offer security conditions before, during, and after the activities scheduled within the framework of the Central American and Caribbean Games.
