Santo Domingo.-The National Police identified this Thursday two of the victims found lifeless in an apartment of a residential tower in the Piantini sector, in the National District.
They are Raisa Luisa Mendoza, 50, and her son Yadhir Nael Cornelio, 24, who were found dead inside the home under circumstances that are still being investigated by the authorities.
In the same apartment, Caroline Milagros Pérez, 22, the young man’s romantic partner, was found; she showed vital signs at the time of discovery and was taken to a health center to receive medical assistance.

The National Police spokesperson, Diego Pesqueira, reported that investigation teams and the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) are working to determine the causes of the deaths and clarify what happened.

The case has caused dismay, especially after it became known that a mother and her son are among the victims. The authorities indicated that they are not ruling out any hypothesis as the investigation progresses.
