National Police receives recognition from the Vegana Sports Union

The Regional Directorate of the National Police in La Vega was recognized by the Committee of the Vegana Sports Union (UDEVE), as a sign of gratitude for the support provided to the sports and community activities carried out in this demarcation.

The recognition was granted to the regional director, General Lic. Juan Pablo Ferreira Verás; to the regional deputy director, Colonel Ing. Rafael Guillermo Guzmán; and to the department commander, Colonel Roberto Paniagua Ramírez, highlighting their commitment and institutional support for sports and citizen coexistence.

Special mention was made of the National Police’s work in organizing and securing the marathon held in the city of La Vega, an event that saw a large participation from the citizenry and took place in an atmosphere of order, discipline, and security.

Present at the event were the provincial governor of La Vega, Mrs. Luisa de la Mota; the regional director of Civil Defense in La Vega, Jaqueline Polonia; the director of Admissions of the Catholic University of Cibao (UCATECI), Dr. Francisco A. Peguero de los Santos, as well as civil authorities, sports leaders and coordinators of the aforementioned marathon.

The activity took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and cooperation, highlighting the importance of joint work between state institutions and sports organizations as a fundamental pillar for strengthening coexistence, security, and the well-being of the vegan community.
