Nelfa Núñez advocates for psychological evaluations in professionals who work with children after recent case
Santo Domingo. – Communicator Nelfa Núñez considered it necessary to strengthen the psychological evaluation processes in people who practice professions linked to education and health, especially those that involve direct contact with children.
Referring to a recent case that has generated public debate, Núñez pointed out that not all people have the appropriate conditions to perform certain roles, so he understands it is essential to apply more rigorous filters in the hiring of personnel.
“There are professions much more vulnerable than others. Anyone involved in someone’s training or health must have good mental health and appropriate behavior,” he expressed.
The communicator regretted the situation, highlighting that this type of event reveals weaknesses in the collaborator selection processes. “Sometimes there is not enough evaluation, nor is it even verified if the person has the specific training or the necessary conditions,” she stated.
