New York.– The judge of the New York Federal Court Alvin Hellerstein set a new hearing for this Wednesday within the judicial process being followed against the former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores in the United States.
In the session, the magistrate plans to present to the defense teams of the accused the new evidence incorporated by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, according to what was reported by lawyer Nizar El Fakih, who is closely following the development of the case.
Maduro and Flores face federal charges for alleged conspiracy related to narcoterrorism and drug trafficking, in addition to other charges filed by U.S. judicial authorities.
The process dates back to the capture of both on January 3, 2026, after which they were brought before federal justice to continue with the corresponding procedures.
