Los Angeles.– Actor Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers, passed away at 85 at his residence in Los Angeles, according to information confirmed by his representative, Kevin Motley, the actor’s agent.
According to the information released, Cullen was accompanied by members of his family at the time of his passing.

Peter Cullen developed an extensive career as a voice actor, participating in animation, television, and film productions. However, his work as Optimus Prime became the most recognized role of his career.
The Canadian-American performer lent his voice to the leader of the Autobots, a central character in the Transformers franchise, ensuring his performance would be linked for decades to the identity of Optimus Prime.
