Leptospirosis is a bacterial disease that can be transmitted through contact with water or soil contaminated with the urine of infected animals. Its spread usually increases during the rainy season and floods, which is why health authorities maintain epidemiological surveillance to detect cases in a timely manner.
Regarding dengue, the bulletin points to a different outlook. Between epidemiological weeks 1 and 24, 138 cases were confirmed, six fewer than the 144 recorded in the same period of 2025, which represents a decrease of 4%.
