“Relentless Justice” sweeps Netflix after years of pandemic delays

After several postponements caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the film Wrath of Man became one of the most-watched titles on Netflix a few days after its incorporation into the catalog. The film, starring Jason Statham and directed by Guy Ritchie, managed to capture the public’s attention four years after its original release.

The production follows the story of Patrick “H” Hill, a man with a military past who begins working as a security guard for an armored truck company. His initial low profile contrasts with the precision and coldness he demonstrates during a violent assault, which arouses suspicion among his colleagues. As the plot progresses, it is revealed that his incorporation into the company responds to a personal motivation linked to a settling of scores.

The cast is made up of recognized actors such as Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Scott Eastwood and Eddie Marsan, among others. The film is characterized by a dark tone, a fragmented narrative structure and action scenes marked by Ritchie’s classic style.

Wrath of Man is an adaptation of the French film Le Convoyeur (2004) and is not based on a novel. During its time in theaters, the film grossed over 100 million dollars worldwide, with a considerably lower budget, which positioned it as a commercial success.

Its recent arrival on Netflix allowed a new audience to discover the title, propelling it back to the top of the viewing charts and confirming the sustained appeal of action cinema starring Statham.
