Santo Domingo. Urban singer La Ross María appeared voluntarily this Thursday before the Second Instruction Court of the National District, after being declared in contempt and an arrest warrant was issued against her for failing to attend a preliminary hearing related to a judicial process she is facing.

The artist appeared in court accompanied by her legal representatives to make herself available to the justice system and regularize her procedural status, after the judge in the case ordered her arrest and a travel ban due to her failure to appear at a hearing held on May 26th.

The judicial process is linked to a lawsuit filed by the company 829 Music Mundial LLC, which accuses the performer of alleged violations of Law 53-07 on High-Tech Crimes and Offenses.

Following her voluntary appearance, the court was in a position to continue with the proceedings of the case, the hearing of which had been suspended until the artist appeared before the competent jurisdiction.

The declaration of default against La Ross María had generated widespread public attention in recent days, especially after authorities ordered measures to ensure her appearance in court. With her voluntary appearance, the case now enters a new procedural stage.
