Santiago Matías: claims Dotor Nastra deserves YouTuber of the year

The businessman and YouTuber Santiago Matías Alofoke expressed this Monday that, although he and content creator Vincent Carmona, better known as “Dotol Nastra”, are “separated and on different paths,” he admires him a lot and believes he is the one who deserves “YouTuber of the Year 2027” at the Premios Soberano.

“I believe that this year the YouTuber of the Year is Vincent Carmona, El Dotol Nastra. And power is not ceded. But speaking of creativity, speaking of consistency, speaking of numbers, speaking of persistence, Vincent Carmona, El Dotol Nastra, deserves the YouTuber of the Year award”, indicated Santiago while making a call to the Association of Art Chroniclers (ACROARTE).

Santiago, who has won in this category for five consecutive years since this mention was created, detailed some of the projects they have carried out together.

“We did Planeta Alofoke, a tremendous IRL, we have two Guinness awards. We are coming with La Casa de Alofoke 3 on November 23rd, which counts for this year if God wills it,” he indicated.

During his statements, Matías highlighted the evolution and consistency of the content creator on digital platforms, considering that he has had one of the best years of his career as a YouTube figure.

“I believe that my successor, who deserves to break that chain of achievements for this year, is Vincent Carmona, El Dotol Nastra. And I applaud that Acroarte takes him into account 100% and that he lifts that statuette, God willing, next year,” he expressed.

The businessman maintained that the work carried out by Nastra during this period makes him a candidate deserving of the recognition, due to the diversity of content he has developed, covering social issues, entertainment, show business, and humor.

“He is 100% deserving of YouTuber of the Year. He has been consistent, varied, he has provided all kinds of content: social, entertainment, celebrity gossip with fun… he has done it all,” stated Matías.

Likewise, he acknowledged that for a long time El Dotol Nastra was seen by the public as a figure who remained in his shadow, but he assured that the communicator has always had his own leadership and that he has currently managed to consolidate his identity within the digital world.

“Everyone saw him as my shadow, everyone saw him as my second-in-command, and El Dotol Nastra has always been a leader,” he stated.

Matías expresses his pride in Carmona’s achievements

Matías also made it clear that, although they are currently developing their projects on separate paths, that does not diminish the pride he feels for the results achieved by Carmona, especially with his initiatives and the growth of his community.

In that sense, he highlighted the impact of La Peñita, an activity that brings together thousands of people alongside the Reconocidos platform, and assured that he sincerely celebrates the achievements of his former colleague.

“We are separated now, each on a different path, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I am very proud of what he is doing, I am very proud of what he is achieving with La Peñita, which brings together thousands of people alongside Reconocidos. And I say this with all my heart, ladies and gentlemen,” he expressed.

On the other hand, Santiago Matías took the opportunity to express his preference for the Premios Soberano, organized by the Association of Art Chroniclers (Acroarte), by asserting that, among the various international ceremonies he has attended, it is the Dominican award that he enjoys the most.

The businessman mentioned his presence at events such as Premio Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, the Grammys, and Premios Heat, but stated that the Soberano has a particular appeal due to the atmosphere behind the scenes and the unique dynamics of the Dominican show.

“I would go to the awards because, of all the awards I go to, I’ve had Premio Lo Nuestro, Premios Juventud, I’ve been to the Grammys, Premios Heat, the award that I like, which I’ve always said, is El Soberano, because that’s where the heat is,” she commented with a laugh.
