Santo Domingo– The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP), led by its secretary general, Manuel Ureña, expressed its deepest sorrow this Tuesday over the tragic passing of the prominent businessman and tireless environmental advocate, Ignacio Joga Isa, who was the president of Óptica Almánzar and the Mundo Verde Foundation.
n” “nJoga Isa lost her life, an event that has shocked the entire Dominican society, and in a very special way, the communication and social activism sector.
n” “nIn offering his statements on behalf of the entire national journalistic guild, Manuel Ureña defined the late businessman as a historic ally and a great collaborator of the SNTP, highlighting his permanent willingness to support initiatives in favor of media professionals and workers.
“For the SNTP, the passing of Ignacio Joga represents not only the loss of an exemplary businessman, but that of a dear friend and an unconditional collaborator of our union. Ignacio was always present, extending a helping hand to press workers and actively supporting our causes,” stated Ureña with evident dismay.
