Guaymate, La Romana.– Several people were injured this Tuesday afternoon following a serious traffic accident that occurred on the Guaymate–Cruce de Pavón highway, in the municipality of Guaymate, La Romana province.
The accident involved an intercity bus from the company SITRAIHR and another vehicle, the characteristics of which have not been specified by the authorities.
Several units from the 911 National Emergency and Security Response System, along with relief agencies, arrived at the scene to provide assistance to those affected and coordinate the transport of the injured to various health centers in the area.

So far, the authorities have not reported the exact number of injured people or the circumstances under which the collision occurred.
Emergency teams remain on the scene carrying out the corresponding work, while traffic in the area is being regulated to facilitate rescue and investigation operations.
