Santo Domingo.– Weather conditions will be marked this Sunday by a mostly sunny, hot environment with scarce rainfall across much of the national territory, due to the reduced humidity present in the atmosphere, reported the national meteorological agency.
During the morning, some isolated showers could be recorded in areas near the Caribbean coast, while in the afternoon, passing rains are expected over locations in the Central Mountain Range and the southwest, including the provinces of San Cristóbal, Elías Piña, San Juan, Santiago Rodríguez, Dajabón, Barahona, and Pedernales.
The authorities also indicated that slight concentrations of Saharan dust continue to be observed, which contributes to hazy skies, decreases air quality, and increases the heat index. Given these conditions, they recommend that the population stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Likewise, a recommendation remains in place for operators of small and medium-sized vessels on the Caribbean coast, especially south and southwest of Pedernales, where they must navigate with caution near the coastline and avoid venturing out to sea due to abnormal waves and wind.

The report also points out that a broad area of low pressure located in the western Gulf of Mexico has a zero percent chance of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours, and therefore poses no threat to the Dominican Republic.
Maximum temperatures will range between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius, while minimums will be between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius.
