Washington.– The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump, requested this Monday that the Supreme Court authorize an executive order currently blocked, with which it seeks to establish new restrictions on mail-in voting ahead of the midterm elections scheduled for November.
The measure promoted by the Republican leader establishes that the United States Postal Service only deliver mail-in ballots to voters who appear as eligible in the records prepared by the states, using information provided by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

As part of this legal offensive, the Trump Administration also filed lawsuits against 29 states with the goal of obtaining copies of their voter rolls, which contain data such as voters’ dates of birth, driver’s license numbers, and parts of their Social Security numbers.
