Víctor D’Aza announces withdrawal of presidential pre-candidacy for PRM

Santo Domingo.- The political leader of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Victor D’Aza, announced today his decision to withdraw the intention to run for the presidential pre-candidacy for the 2028 elections, after a deep process of reflection and with the firm conviction that the cohesion and unity of the country must be the priority. Also a member of the PRM’s Executive Directorate, he expressed his gratitude to all those who have supported him in his commitment to a better nation. He highlighted the importance of listening to the concerns of Dominicans, and how each conversation on his tour of the country, since he announced his aspirations, has reaffirmed his commitment to the well-being of the Dominican Republic.

“Today more than ever, the PRM must show itself united and solid, focused on guaranteeing stability for Dominican families, just as comrade Luis Abinader, president of all, has been working,” said D’Aza.

The veteran politician highlighted his determination to continue promoting municipal institutionalism, as well as his commitment to work alongside local and national leaders to consolidate a PRM that continues to govern with transparency, modernity, and closeness to the people.
