Miami. — For Wally and Gissele Donovan, solidarity is part of their vision of life. More than an occasional action, they consider community service as a way to give back and support those in greater need, guided by values such as faith, gratitude, and social commitment.
Wally, of Dominican origin, and Gissele, of Colombian origin, reside with their children in Florida, United States, where they have built a family and a business project accompanied by initiatives focused on generating a positive impact in vulnerable communities.
As part of that purpose, this year they will promote an educational initiative in the Dominican Republic together with DekAngels, an organization led by Mónica Olivo, which for years has worked in favor of children, youth, and families with limited resources in different communities of the country.
The solidarity day will take place during the month of August in El Sombrero, Baní, where backpacks, school supplies, and food will be delivered to more than 100 children and their families. The initiative seeks to contribute to the preparation for the new school year and provide tools that facilitate the educational continuity of the benefited students.
