Azua.– The provincial governor, María Minerva Navarro, received in her office Lieutenant Colonel Pedro Mieses, the newly appointed commander of the General Directorate of Traffic and Land Transportation Safety (DIGESETT) in this province, with whom she held a meeting to coordinate actions aimed at strengthening road safety.
During the meeting, both authorities exchanged views on the importance of promoting strategies that contribute to more orderly, safe, and efficient traffic, for the benefit of drivers, motorcyclists, and pedestrians.
The representative of the Executive Branch congratulated the officer on his appointment and wished him success in the performance of his duties, while reaffirming the Provincial Government’s commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at improving mobility and road safety.

For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Pedro Mieses expressed his willingness to work in a coordinated manner with the various institutions of the province to implement measures aimed at strengthening road safety education, accident prevention, and compliance with traffic regulations.
With this first institutional meeting, the Provincial Government and DIGESETT ratify their commitment to join efforts to promote safer and more orderly mobility in the province of Azua.
